AN EQUITABLE ACCESS TO ICT’S USE IN NIGERIA EDUCATION SYSTEM

ABSTRACT

This paper analyzes the limiting factor to the inadequate use of ICTs in the Nigerian educational system considering its immense benefits. To answer this, we reviewed past works on ICT in Education. Our results show that while ICT’s use is gradually taking shape, there is inequitable access to resources needed for the adoption of ICTs by institutions or individuals. As the use of ICTs in education is clearly the future of learning, we must strive to make all necessary resources for its implementation equitably accessible to all. The paper recommends amongst other measures that the Government creates policies and programs that help to promote the equitable access and continuous development of ICTs for learning.
