ABSTRACT:
eCommerce is now seen as the new way of transaction over the Internet. However Trading on the Internet can be laborious at times. The traders need to search for their services and goods which at times waste time and energy. The cost of connecting to the web for online transactions is on the high side. Mobile Agents for E-commerce is designed to support business application on remote places. Using this agent, buyers or sellers can create mobile agents that have the ability of migration (mobility) on Internet and can do business anytime and anywhere on behalf of users. Searching for appropriate trader and negotiating with the traders is handled by mobile agents thereby relieving the users of searching tasks. In this paper a report of mobile agents developed for buying and selling of books online is presented. The Java Agent Development Environment Framework is used to develop the book-buying and book-selling agents. The proposed system architecture can address the problem of expensive connection with limited bandwidth. After launching the mobile agent’s seller/buyer can disconnect from mobile devices later and later on can reconnect to devices for results. The proposed system is demonstrated by creating a buyer agent and seller agent using JADE (Java Application Development Framework) in Eclipse Integrated Development Environment. The experimental demonstration of the agents shows that the adoption of mobile agents for trading is feasible and explorable.
