DESIGN OF AN INTEGRATED MODEL FOR ENHANCING PUBLIC CLOUD SECURITY AND PRIVACY

ABSTRACT

The Cloud has gained so much attention in recent years. This is not unconnected to the numerous benefits associated with cloud storage and retrieval. However, sensitive data being stored in the cloud are today facing numerous challenges including unauthorized access, data breaches and cyber-attacks. Existing models in literature have failed to address the gap. hence the increasing breaches. This work designed a SHIELD model that integrated multiple cryptographic services. The study adopted structured systems analysis and design methodology to design an integrated SHIELD model for enhances public cloud security and privacy. The result showed an advanced system that successfully combined both symmetric and asymmetric techniques privacy and security management. The framework would guarantee better key management strategies and the security of protocols tailored for cloud environments such as user authorization, authentication with real-time OTP, role-based access control and monitoring for the protection of data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
