DETECTION OF PIRATED IMAGES ON THE INTERNET USING AN ALGORITHM
ABSTRACT
Piracy has become a major treating issue in society and cyberspace at large. Images are very useful media on the internet and they offer deep meaning to the users, thereby making the malicious users have an advantage over the producer. The proposed system was adopted based on the existing system of image piracy with minor differences in the ratio. The limitation of the aforementioned system was based on the area of the Advanced Digital Watermarking (ADW) scheme using the Peak-Signal-to-Noise-Ratio (PSNR) and Structure Similarity Index Metric (SSIM) as distortion metrics over the Mean Squared Error (MSE) formula with a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) formula in the existing system. The MAPE formula detects a pirated image by first watermarking and embedding the image to make it vulnerable to an attack. The attack process uses a Gaussian white noise function for creating large distortions on the watermarked image thereby identifying the critical image objects of the design of the main system, and breaking them down into modules. We recommend that watermarked simulation should be explored in other multimedia files like audio, animation, and video.
