ABSTRACT:
The influx of digital technologies into our modern society is transforming nearly every facet of life. We no longer have to wait to listen to the radio to learn what is going on in the world. We get the latest information as the news break. The opportunity presented by digital technology is simply enormous. The recent advances in technology are changing how people live, work and interact with one another. Physical and virtual areas of our lives are increasingly becoming interwoven. Today it takes extensive energy to find any place in the world today unaffected by the internet. More and more of our interactions are mediated by machines. These developments are a result of advances in technology which include Internet of Things (IoT). IoTs relies on the connectivity of physical object as well as virtual data and environments and how the interact with each other. IoTs have been deployed as the future tool for a smart society. Use of sensors and analytics will enable people track their health as well as control their home appliances. IoTs complexity will drastically change the process of smart society. This paper discusses the ways the Internet of Things (IoTs) is leading to a smart society and how these developments are improving our lives on daily basis.
