SEAMLESS CONNECTION BETWEEN RENDEZVOUS NODE AND MOBILE PRODUCER NODES USING NDN INTEREST FLOODING
ABSTRACT
Named Data Networking (NDN)is the best among the architectures of Infor-mation Concentric Networking. In NDN, users consider content information ra-ther than its owner (host). This gives NDN optimum efficiency in term of data integrity and security. However, Information Concentric Networks are to some extent vulnerable to some form of Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. These attacks are mostly Interest Flooding Attacks. In this paper, a scalable solution that is capable of moderating complex interest flooding of Interest/Data contents for rendezvous nodes and mobile producer nodes. Mobile routes are created by dis-tributing the rendezvous with minimum distance. This is to lessen the latency in case of interest flooding. Rendezvous nodes with pool of data streams are de-ployed to limit interest flooding and enhance signaling cost during handoff by mobile producers. In our analysis, an efficient protocol known as the Listen First Broadcast Later (LFBL)is used for Interest content as they are transmitted by consumer in search for data between nodes of producer and rendezvous in mo-tion. Our implementation ensures preventing attackers at both ends of the links without affecting non attacking consumers and producers. The protocol depends on the mobile producer’s Data content reply and use a fix rate adaptation so as to initiate secured handoff. Simulation results in ndnSIM 2.1 and Wireshark present successful implementation of the producer to rendezvous scalable content deliv-ery between the links.
