AN ENHANCED ADAPTIVE DATA MODEL FOR MULTIPLE SYSTEMS INTEGRATION

ABSTRACT

Several problems are associated with the manual method of managing students’ information like misplacement of student’s details, erroneous results computation, and late release of reports and records’ insecurity. This paper, therefore, presents an adaptive automated platform for managing students’ information. The system was designed and developed using a Unified Modelling Language (UML) and Java NetBeans IDE for the front-end, while MySQL was used to implement the back-end of the model. The datasets used to test run the system were obtained from the Department of Computer Sciences, Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun State.  The logical flow of the system and its functional modules were provided to explain the major functionalities of the system. Also, the use-case diagram shows the different categories of the system actors and the various functionalities provided by the system. Integration tests conducted on the practicability of the system exhibited its adequacy, suitability, scalability, security, usability, interoperability, and flexibility making it expandable and adoptable to other areas of information management.
