ABSTRACT:
The revolution of Internet Technology has achieved an unprecedented pace with the creation of a smart environment where individuals can control their environment remotely using sensors. These smart environments are now gradually replacing existing internet infrastructure. In order not to be outpaced, we report a proposal on the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT) based exam system where candidates can bring their exam home without affecting the credibility and conduct of the exam. The system architecture of the proposed approach consists of the Exam Administrator Module, the Network Backbone Module and the IoT Exam Engine. Each module uses pragmatic communication protocols to seamlessly transfer relevant requests to the desired module. A lightweight security protocol based on an elliptic curve is used to design interface for smart device registration and verification on the appropriate module. We believe our proposal represents the future of examination assessment as current Computer Based Testing (CBT) will soon outlive its days considering the information revolution of IoT concept.
