HARNESSING DIGITAL INNOVATION AND EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES FOR INCLUSIVE GROWTH AND ECONOMIC RENAISSANCE

ABSTRACT

Digital technologies like AI, blockchain, IoT, and cybersecurity frameworks are critical drivers for inclusive economic growth in emerging economies. By analyzing digital adoption in Sub-Saharan Africa, this paper introduces an integrated framework to tackle socioeconomic disparities. The strategic deployment of these technologies has yielded significant results: fintech solutions boosted financial inclusion in Nigeria by 34% between 2020 and 2025, and AI-driven agriculture increased smallholder farmer yields by 28%. Furthermore, countries adopting comprehensive digital innovation strategies with strong cybersecurity frameworks achieved 2.3 times higher GDP growth than those with fragmented methods. Despite these benefits, infrastructure deficits, digital literacy gaps, and cybersecurity vulnerabilities remain persistent barriers. To address this, the paper proposes a multi-stakeholder governance model alongside key policy recommendations such as public-private partnerships and regulatory sandboxes to foster a secure, equitable environment for sustainable digital transformation.
