ABSTRACT:
Wireless network has simplify networking by enabling multiple users to simultaneously connect and share resources without additional wiring, and provides person-to-person communication, which is certainly a desirable feature for any organisation that really wants to keep in tune with Information Technology. Wired networking has some limitations such as running additional wires for any new user which comes with infrastructural challenges; lack of roaming capability for users, and limited support for future expansion without adversely affecting the existing structure. In this work, system analysis and design was adopted.There was site survey to determine the number and location of access points; the signal propagation and strength, while avoiding any possible signal interference. The tool used for this survey was Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector. The design was implemented using Cisco Packet Tracer simulator where the testing and evaluation of the design was done. This research work will reduce to a bearable minimum the loopholes associated with manual communication in the Institute if implemented.
