CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS: VOLUME 32, AUGUST 2021

FOREWORD

On behalf of the National Executive Council (NCS) and conference’s organizing committee, I welcome you all with great pleasure and delight to the International Conference of the Nigeria Computer Society holding at Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria from Tuesday, August 3 to Thursday, August 5, 2021. This year’s conference is themed Innovative Systems for Digital Economy (ISDE’2021). The conference is aimed at providing a forum for public and private sector, academia, IT practitioners to discuss broad social, economic and technical trends that affects the development of digital economy. The conference also encourages interaction among research students, developing academics, established community and professional experts in an informal setting to discuss research work and policies that can be used in responding to the societal demands.

Diverse insightful papers had been submitted for this conference by professionals from the industry, government circles, research institutes and academia in several areas amidst which include: Technopreneurship: Powering Creativity; IoT & Robotics on Consumer Behaviour; Regulation & Digital Consumer Privacy; Inclusive vs Disruptive Innovation; Agenda for Digital Gender; Cyber Intelligence for National Security; Digital Technologies in Agriculture; Cloud and Edge Computing; Agenda for Digital Gender; Energy Efficiency (end user energy demand); Redefining Health Care in Digital Economy; Digital Economy: Governance, Policy and Regulatory Framework; Broadband: Citizen and Digital Access Right. Going by the quality of the papers, I am persuaded that there will be an extremely rich exchange of ideas of experts from across the globe.

It is noteworthy that this year, we are collaborating with Springer for better synergy as the accepted quality papers will be published in one of their journals. Recall that last year, the NCS secured a collaboration with Springer, a well-known and reputable publisher in the world.
